iexchange program

tuscon's iexchange program celebrated its third successful year in 2009. We are pleased to report that more than 75% of our students have found permanent employment since participating in the program.

With the launch of Lode, our second employment initiative, in 2008, all students and employers are encouraged to register on www.lode.com.au to be considered for the iexchange program. 

What is iexchange?

iexchange is a placement program designed to match talented postgraduate individuals with market leading Australian organisations. This creates a long term partnership with mutual benefits for the client and the students.

Clients gain access to Australia's brightest postgraduate talent through this flexible resource solution.

iexchange students gain paid, project-based experience which is relevant to their studies and helps to grow their future career.

Employer benefits

iexchange provides employers with an innovative way of resourcing project-based assignments. The program provides employer access to talented postgraduate students who work within client organisations for 20 to 40 hours per week.

Benefits for employers include:

-         Access to work-ready postgraduates
-         Resources with an average of 5.3 years work experience
-         Ability to raise your brand in the competitive postgraduate market
-         Thorough assessment of students to best match your organisation
-         Opportunity to secure these students before they complete their studies
-         Both parties are provided the opportunity to ascertain suitability for longer term engagement
-         A flat rate of $50.00 per hour plus GST

tuscon conducts a thorough behavioural assessment process covering communication skills, Belbin profiling, skills gap analysis and cultural fit, plus the verification of qualifications and experience. This ensures that only exceptional postgraduate talent enters the iexchange program.

Once postgraduates are onsite, progress and feedback mechanisms ensure all deliverables are met.

tuscon’s thorough assessment process includes registration, an initial interview, skills analysis , employment and education review, career planning , Belbin team role analysis and reference checking. Upon successfully passing all phases, we will work with you in order to find a placement opportunity relevant to your studies and career goals.

We now conduct all sourcing and selection for the iexchange program through Lode.  Simply register and create your professional profile.  We will then search and contact you with suitable project roles within our client organisations.  As Lode is searchable by employers, you also gain the added benefit of being contacted by client organisations directly.
